The Franklin Irish Cottage Inn hosted a St. Baldrick's Foundation fundraiser for the sixth year on Sunday.

Since the first such event in 2010, nearly $100,000 has been raised by owner Damian Ryan for the cause. As a result of Sunday’s head shaving event, Ryan says that more and more donations are expected to come in over the next month and he is hopeful that this year’s annual goal will be met.

This year’s 12th Annual Sussex County St. Patrick's Day Parade featured grand marshals and longtime Franklin residents Dennis and Mary Harrington, who chose St. Baldrick’s Foundation as this year’s charity of choice.

Mary Harrington went a step further by having her long white hair shaved off for the charity and raised a considerable amount of money for St. Baldrick’s asking, “Who wouldn’t do it for the children?”
