Vernon planning senior of the year banquet

VERNON — Vernon Township will host its Senior Citizen of the Year luncheon on Wednesday, May 20, from noon until 3 p.m. at Minerals Resort in Vernon.

Any Vernon Townshipo resident older than 60 is invited to an afternoon of dining and dancing for $7 per person.

Senior of the Year banquet sign-ups will be held at the Vernon Senior Center on Wednesday, April 15, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Bring proof of residency and a non-perishable food item for a local food pantry to be entered for a chance to win a door prize.
