    March 13Jason Helewa, 21, of Hawley, Penn., was sentenced to three years of probation, was ordered to serve 364 days in the Keogh Dwyer Correctional Facility and submit to a substance abuse evaluation and follow all recommendations made.

    He must pay total fines and penalties of $280 and submit a DNA sample at his expense.

    He pleaded guilty on Jan. 12 to two counts of second degree Transporting Firearms into the State of New Jersey for an Unlawful Sale/Transfer.

    Crystal Galione, 25, of Franklin, was sentenced to three years of probation and was given credit for time served, and was ordered to submit to a substance abuse evaluation and follow all recommendations made.

    She must pay total fines and penalties of $1,205 and submit a DNA sample at her expense.

    Galione pleaded guilty on Jan. 12 to the third degree crime of Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance. In pleading guilty, Galione admitted to possessing Heroin in Franklin on Sept. 29. The matter was investigated by the Franklin Police Department.

    Christopher Holbert, 21, of Hawley, Penn., was sentenced to three years of probation, was ordered to serve 364 days in the Keogh Dwyer Correctional Facility and submit to a substance abuse evaluation and follow all recommendations made.

    Pamela S. Harriott, 27, of Vernon, pleaded guilty to the fourth degree crime of Throwing Bodily Fluids. Sentencing is presently scheduled for April 17.

    In pleading guilty, Harriott admitted to spitting at and kicking officers from the Keogh Dwyer Correctional Facility on Nov. 4, 2012 while housed at the facility.

    Justin Metcalf, 25, of Vernon, was sentenced to three years in New Jersey State Prison with credit for 148 days served.

    He pleaded guilty on March 17, to Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance, a third degree crime.

    A Vernon police officer passed a car and recognized the defendant as an individual with an outstanding warrant. When the officer activated his lights to stop the motor vehicle the defendant threw bags of heroin out of the window. The bags were later recovered.

    March 16 Ion Hutchins. Hutchins, 43, of East Orange, pleaded guilty to the third degree crime of distribution of a controlled dangerous substance.

    Sentencing is presently scheduled in May.

    He admitted to selling 50 bags of heroin to an individual cooperating with the Sussex County Gangs, Guns and Narcotics Task Force at the Holiday Motel in Andover Township on Dec. 3.

    Greg Schrumpf, 58, of Oakland, pleaded guilty to fourth degree shoplifting.

    Sentencing is presently scheduled for May 22.

    The defendant entered Golden Castle Jewelers in Sparta asking to look at heavy gold chains. When the employee was not looking Schrumpf grasped a chain and put it in his pocket and left the store without paying for it.

    March 17Jessie M. Sisto, 29, of Hardyston, pled guilty to third degree Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance and a motor vehicle violation.

    Sentencing is presently anticipated for May 24, 2015. In December during a motor vehicle stop by Franklin Police for erratic driving, the defendant was found to be in possession of Heroin
