March 8Dwight Bessette, 45, of Vernon was charged with possession of an assault weapon and high-capacity magazines after police went to serve him with a temporary restraining order.

He was sent to the Sussex County Jail in lieu of $75,000 bail.

March 16Robert Ryan, 56, of Delray Beach, Fla., was charged with driving while intoxicated, careless driving and driving with a suspended license after police responded to a motor vehicle accident on Mondamin Road.

He was released pending an appearance in Vernon Municipal Court.

March 18Matthew Jensen, 26, of Vernon ws charged with driving while intoxicated and failure to keepright after police saw a Jeep Wranger traveling North on Route 94 cross over into the southboundlane.

Police said Jensen was determined to be under the influence of alcohol and he also was found to have a warrant of $165 out of Vernon Township.

He was released pending an appearance in Vernon Municipal Court.
