The New Jersey chapter of the American Institute of Architects announced that Kimberly Bunn will serve as the organization’s 2015 president.

The Wantage native was installed during AIA-NJ’s annual awards gala at the Moorestown Community House in Moorestown, N.J.

Bunn grew up in Sussex County, where her family still resides in Wantage Township. She attended High Point Regional High School where she started taking drafting and architecture courses and went on to graduate from the School of Architecture at New Jersey Institute of Technology in Newark. Owner and principal of Moorestown-based Bunn Architecture, a full-service architectural firm specializing in residential projects, with a focus on historic renovations and incorporating environmental principles, Bunn has been a member of AIA for more than 16 years, and has served in a leadership capacity for more than a decade.

At the state level, Bunn also currently sits on the Board of Trustees and chairs the Communications Committee, and has previously served as first- and second vice president and president-elect. At the local level, Bunn currently sits on the Board of Trustees and has served as president of AIA-West Jersey, one of AIA-New Jersey’s six local sections.

“I look forward to assuming the helm of the AIA-NJ leadership team, helping both my fellow architects and our profession as we work to benefit our communities at large,” Bunn said. “As we look forward to a successful and eventful 2015, I am excited to showcase the importance of New Jersey architects and their work on a local, state and national level.”
