Delores H. Parrott

    Dolores H. Parrott, age 85, peacefully passed away on Saturday, March 21, 2015, at Bristol Glen Care Center in Newton while surrounded by her loving family. Born in Jersey City to the late Vincent and Helen (Sudnik) Krankowski, Mrs. Parrott had graduated from Hasbrouck Heights High School and was employed as a secretary at the Chase Manhattan Bank in New York City before entering into a career in real estate. She lived in Hasbrouck Heights before moving to Sussex County in 1969. Mrs. Parrott had been a licensed realtor and worked for the family business, Neil Parrott Real Estate in Wantage. She was a member of St. Jude The Apostle Church in Hamburg, was an avid supporter of the Sussex County Republican Party; and supported the Pope John XXIII Regional High School Booster Club and many of the school activities.

    Mrs. Parrott was predeceased by her husband, Neil; her brother, Vincent; and her sister, Lorraine. She is survived by her son, Jeffrey Parrott and his wife, Lisa, of Wantage; her four daughters, Cheryl Parrott Newman of Seymour, Conn., Alison Parrott Martin of Gaithersburg, MD; Lori Parrott Roskelly and her husband, Eric, of Vernon, and Kerri Parrott Freda and her husband, David, of Frankford Twp.; her brother, Ronald Krankowski and his wife, Barbara, of Henderson, Nev.; her sister, Janet Wohlers and her husband, Frank, of Blairstown; 11 grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, March 26, 2015, at 10 a.m. at St. Jude The Apostle Church, 4-24 Beaver Run Road, Hamburg. Interment to follow at Clove Cemetery. Friends may pay their respects to the family on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Pinkel Funeral Home, 31 Bank Street (Route 23), Sussex. The family requests that memorial donations may be made in Dolores Parrott’s name to the Sussex County Food Pantry, P.O. Box 218, Newton, NJ 07860 or to St. Jude The Apostle, Building Fund, P.O. Box 1, Hamburg, NJ 07419.
