    Robert F. Terry, 83, passed away at the Orange Regional Medical Center, Middletown, N.Y., on Friday March 20, 2015. Robert was born on June 23, 1931 in Butler, N.J., and was a longtime resident of Sussex, N.J., before moving to Westtown, N.Y. He was the son of the late Donald and Irene (nee Starner) Terry.

    He was a United States Navy veteran serving during the Korean War. Robert was a plumber and was a union member of the United Pipefitters Association Local No. 373 in Mountainville, N.Y., for 47 years retiring in 1993. He was a member of the American Legion Post 1607 Unionville, N.Y., and a member of the Unionville Fire Department. He was an avid fisherman and hunter.

    He was predeceased by his sisters, Dorothy Cooper, Sheila Sanders, and a brother, Richard Terry.

    Robert was the loving husband of Janet C. (nee Decker) Terry, a devoted father of Debra Ashcraft and her husband Michael Sr., Colleen Lichwick and her husband Daniel Sr., Pamela Kuen, and Todd Belcher, and his eight cherished grandchildren, Marissa Hildebrandt, Jessica and Michael Ashcraft, Rachel and Kevin Kuen, Danielle, Daniel Jr. and Dillon Lichwick, and his 4 great grandchildren, Emma, Jax, Shea, and Michael, and his many nieces and nephews, and his riding companion Mason.

    The family will receive their relatives and friends on Wednesday, March 25, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Ferguson Funeral Home 27 Third Street, Sussex, N.J. Funeral services at the funeral home on Thursday, March 26, at 10 a.m., interment committal services at Unionville Cemetery, Unionville, N.Y. In lieu of flowers donations, to the Unionville Fire Department or the Lenape Volunteer Ambulance Corps would be appreciated.
