Leland Thomas Bonelli

    Leland Thomas Bonelli, 69 years old, died after a long illness at Schervier Pavillion in Warwick, N.Y., on Sunday, March 22, 2015. Born to Joseph and Marietta Bonelli in Newark, N.J., he had lived in Montclair, N.J., before moving to Vernon Twp., N.J., in 1974.

    Leland worked in Inside Sales for Hamilton in Fairfield, N.J., in the 1970s, then owned and operated the Hot Bagel Stop in Franklin, N.J., for many years, and then worked as circulation manager for the New Jersey Herald for 13 years before retiring in 2012.

    Leland was predeceased by his father, Joseph Bonelli, and was the devoted father of Leland D. Bonelli of Bath, PA and Clinton T. Bonelli of Philadelphia, PA. Loving grandfather of Tyler Bonelli. Dear brother of Paul Bonelli of Verona, NJ and Marietta McCall of Boerne, TX. Former husband and lifelong companion of Christine Bonelli of Sandyston, NJ. Also survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews.

    The family will receive their friends at Ferguson-Vernon Funeral Home, 241 Route 94 (1 Vanderhoof Court for GPS), Vernon, NJ on Friday, March 27, 2015, from 10 a.m. until noon. Funeral service will begin at noon at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Glenwood Cemetery, Vernon Twp., N.J. Memorial gifts to the Glenwood Pochuck Volunteer Ambulance Corps., P.O.
