American Sewing Guild plans Spring Fling

The North Jersey Chapter of the American Sewing Guild will hold its annual Spring Fling on Saturday, April 25 at the Lafayette House.

The guest speaker will be Mark Lipinski, international quilt teacher, designer, editor, and humorist. Through his Quilt Journey Trunk Show, Lipinski will share what has inspired him on his journey from a quilting duckling into a quilting swan.

As a quilt designer, Lipinski's work has been featured in many quilting magazines as well as on television and radio. He has designed multiple fabric lines, patterns and quilting products. A veteran, multi Emmy-Award nominated and Cable Ace Award winning talk-show producer and programming executive, he has produced many television shows, including “Oprah,” “The View,” “The Joan Rivers’ Show,” “Attitudes” and “Ricki Lake.”

Lipinski conceived and developed the ultra-successful "Mark Lipinski’s Quilter's Home," making him the first man in history to create, edit and regularly appear on the cover of a quilting magazine.
