Sussex Warren Community Organizations Active in Disaster (COAD)

ANDOVER — The Sussex Warren COAD announces a community engagement event, Building Partnerships Before the next Disaster on Wednesday, April 30.

The guiding principle behind the COAD movement is to build and strengthen relationships and partnerships from all sectors (public, private, governmental) to provide the most effective and efficient services and resources to communities and individuals in need.

It takes a COAD to bring organizations together to help a community and individuals recover from a disaster. This approach: eliminates or reduces duplication of services, creates effective coordination of resources, provides a consistent and coordinated message, and builds trust in communities.

All Sussex and Warren organizations are welcome to join to learn more about the COAD concept and meet like-minded organizations on Wednesday, April 30, 9 a.m. at Tranquility Church, 5 Kennedy Road, Andover Township. Located at the intersection of Kennedy Rd. and Rt. 517. A light breakfast will be served.
