Vernon police announce retirements, promotions

The Vernon Police Dept. presented retiring officers, promotions and new hires to the Township Council on March 9.

Among the retirees were Det. Sgt. Sean Talt, Cpl. Ed Lazicki and Cpt. Stephan Moran. Each officer was given a plaque as a token of appreciation for their dedication and years of service.

With the retirements, a number of promotions were given to fill the vacancies. Chief Randy Mills presented the promotions of Lt. Brian Jernick to Captain, Sgt. Keith Kimkowski to Lieutenant, Cpl. Bill Mutz to Sergeant and Cpl. Charles Reid to Sergeant.

Two new hires, Adam Kraus and Bradley Pindyck, were sworn in by Mills and Mayor Victor Marotta.
