HARDYSTON — With the goal of making its wellness programs for children, families and seniors even more accessible, the Sussex County YMCA has reduced fees to join.

To increase accessibility, the Sussex County Y has reduced its joiner fees to $25 for individuals and $50 for families. The Y subsidizes membership fees for those most in need.

Since opening 10 years ago, the Sussex County YMCA has grown as a community center, helping individuals and families improve their fitness and strengthen connections to one another, and championing initiatives that help those most in need.

“The Y is committed to strengthening our community as a whole, to ensure all people have the opportunity to thrive through learning and healthy living," Sussex County YMCA Executive Director Jennifer Gardner said. "The Y nurtures the potential of kids, promotes healthy living and fosters social responsibility.

The 32,500-square-foot facility at 15 Wits End Road features an indoor pool, a wide selection of cardio equipment and a state-of-the-art weight room.

Memberships include a 12-week Wellness Coaching Program and twice a month, parents can claim a few hours to themselves while their children enjoy Kids Night Out.
