Bertram Hennion, Jr.

Bertram Hennion, Jr., age 69, passed away on Tuesday, March 3, 2015, at Newton Memorial Hospital. Born in Morristown to the late Bertram, Sr. and Virginia (Ellis) Hennion. Bert grew up in Morris Plains and had served in the United States Army before moving to Sussex County. He had been employed as a project manager, having worked for Tele-Measurements in Clifton for 15 years and most recently for TBS Network Intelligence in Parsippany. Mr. Hennion had been a member of the American Legion Post 213 in Wantage and the Sussex-Wantage Basketball League for nine years. He also enjoyed spending time boating and fishing.

He was predeceased by his wife of 34 years, Catherine “Kay” (Saitta) Hennion in 2009 and his sister-in-law, Lynn M. Ellis, in 2003. Bert is survived by his son, Joshua of Pompton Lakes; two sisters, Elyse Meade and her husband, Mike, of New Vernon and Shelly Fix and her husband, Fred, of South Carolina; his two grandchildren, Julian and Liam; his two nephews, Ryan Ellis and his wife Larissa of Montague and Richard Ellis and his wife Melody of South Carolina; his great nephews, Ayden and Andrew; his great niece, Anna; his cousin, Parker Hennion and his wife, Joan of Andover; and his lifelong friends, Shannon and Matt Meincke and Tommy and Elsie Santana. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 7, 2015, at the Pinkel Funeral Home, 31 Bank St. (Route 23), Sussex. Interment will follow at Clove Cemetery. Friends may pay their respects to the family on Friday, March 6, 2015 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
