Fundraiser scheduled for child with leukemia

    The Sussex Fire Dept. & the Sussex United Methodist Church will host a St. Baldrick's Event and a Blood Drive in Honor of 5-year-old Anthony Longo, who was diagnosed with Leukemia in January.

    Saint Baldrick's will shave heads as a fundraiser for Childhood Cancer Research, and Community Blood Services will conduct a blood drive at the Sussex United Methodist Church. All blood donors are invited to a free lunch in the Church's Fellowship Hall.

    The Saint Baldrick's event will take place at the Sussex Firehouse from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. The blood drive will be conducted in the Fellowship Hall, located behind the Church, and will run from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. All blood donors, head shavers, or their sponsors are welcome.
