Barry Lakes gets cabin fever

VERNON — As if to say, “We’ve finally had enough,” Barry Lakes held its annual cabin fever party last Saturday evening.
With a 1980s theme, the residents and their guests sported an eclectic mix of wigs and costumes that ranged from the yuppies of the early 1980s to realms far beyond.
The evening included dancing and staged photo ops and a very long buffet table. The evening was totally sold out with about 170 people attending and both clubhouse parking lots filled to their winter capacity.
