    Ann P. Ricker, 78, died Sunday March 1, 2015, at her home in Wantage. Mrs. Ricker, daughter of the late Richard K. and Olive E. (Hiller) Palmer, was born in Stroudsburg, Pa., on Feb. 12, 1937. She grew up in Ridgewood and has resided in Wantage Twp. for the past 49 years.

    Mrs. Ricker graduated from Western Maryland College in Maryland with a BS Degree in Home Economics. She taught home economics in Ocean County for two years and she later retired from Norwescap, where she was a home-based preschool teacher throughout Sussex County for many years. Mrs. Ricker also worked with her husband on the family dairy farm.

    Mrs. Ricker was a 4-H Agent for 5 years and a 4-H volunteer leader in Sussex County for the next 45 years. She worked at the Sussex County Farm & Horse Show as a 4-H Judge, Home Ec Judge and a Jersey Fresh promoter. Mrs. Ricker was a member of the Unionville Presbyterian Church, Unionville, N.Y., where she served as treasurer, elder, Sunday School supervisor and Vacation Bible School director.

    Mrs. Ricker is survived by her husband, Walter C. Ricker; children, Larry Ricker and his wife, Diana, of Wantage Twp. and Cindy Hill and her husband, Lisle III, of Nutley; grandchildren, Daniel and Rachel Ricker and Lisle IV & Tyler Hill, as well as two brothers, John Palmer and his wife, Ro, of Charlotte, N.C., and Richard Palmer of Los Angeles, Calif.

    Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 4, 2015 at 11 a.m. at Unionville Presbyterian Church 35 Main St. Unionville, N.Y. Private interment will be at George Washington Memorial Park Cemetery, Paramus.
