Whirled Revolution, a local hula hoop and flow arts company, hosted a very special Valentine’s Day party on Tuesday, Feb. 17, at its studio in Sussex.

In an effort to “spread the love” in the community, they opened up their regular kids hoop class to any child willing to bring a donation. More than 20 participants enjoyed hoop dance instruction, games, and face painting. Donations of food and clothing benefited the Sussex Help Center.

“The community needs this,” owners Heather Bonney and Jessica Krause said.

They said they share a goal of creating a space that not only offers something unique, but that can be a center for change and growth in the community. They plan to host many more events like this in an effort to support both the local and the global community.

With classes ranging from fitness to martial arts and workshops focused on herbs and plants to baby wearing, the possibilities are endless. Whirled Revolution studio is located on the corner of Church and Main Street in Sussex.
