Get in the spirit for St. Patrick's Day with the spellbinding talents of some of Ireland's finest female vocalists, musicians and stepdancers as they celebrate Irish heritage and its rich tradition of song and dance. Women of Ireland will be staged at Mayo Performing Arts Center on Friday, March 13 at 8 p.m. Tickets are $39 to $69.

Women of Ireland is an innovative full stage concert production which showcases the next generation of Ireland's leading female performers. This isn't just another Irish dance show, it is a production which brings together all that is great about the traditions of music, song and dance in Ireland and is unique in the way these genres are intertwined with external influences to give rise to a kaleidoscopic entertainment experience. The common theme inherent in all performances is the presentation of the most revered qualities of Ireland's ethnic music, which will be transported from the Irish fireside to the international concert hall platform. Special significance is placed on depicting the pure qualities of Irish music in a contemporary setting.

Women of Ireland features vocalists The O'Neil Sisters (Fiona, Naomi & Evangeline O' Neill), Fiddle Players Niamh Fahy and Niamh Gallagher, award-winning Aerialist Elena Marina, principal dancer Caterina Coyne and up to thirty other performers.

Three O'Neill sisters from County Kerry (Ireland) are responsible for providing vocal performances as part of the stage show. The siblings are best known for their close celestial harmonies which are as much a consequence of their personal relationship as it is of their vocal prowess.

The dance and vocal content of the show is augmented by the instrumentalists within the production.

The Mayo Performing Arts Center is located at 100 South St. in Morristown. For more information and tickets contact the box office at 973-539-8008 or www.mayoarts.org.
