Vernon officer makes rescue with Narcan

VERNON — Vernon Police Dept. Patrolman Jason Mangano rescued an unresponsive male by administering a dose of Narcan, which the department recently trained all officers to use, on Feb. 10.
Police said Mangano responded to a report of an unresponsive male and upon arrival found members of the Glenwood-Pochuck Valley Ambulance crew providing rescue breathing to the 26-year-old victim.
Police said the victim immediately regained consciousness and spoke to Mangano after administering the Narcan.
