    Jan. 28Emily Vichiconti, 18, and Christopher Wayne, 18, both of Highland Lakes, were charged with possession and distribution of a controlled dangerous substance.

    Police said they were charged after several weeks of a self-initiated police investigation and surveillance.

    They were processed and released pending a Superior Court appearance.

    Feb. 2Sean P. Kelly, 24, of Warwick, N.Y., was charged with driving while intoxicated, tailgaiting and having unclear plates while traveling south on Route 94 near Mountain Creek.

    Police said they received a report of an erratic driver. The vehicle was located on 94 in the area of Dunkin Donuts.

    He was released to a friend pending a future court appearance.

    Feb. 6Cody Clawson, 22, of Highland Lakes was charged with two counts of sexual assault and one count of endangering the welfare of a child.

    Police said he was charged after a police investigation into an incident that occurred in February 2014.

    He was sent to the Keogh-Dwyer Correctional Facility in lieu of $200,000 bail.

    Feb. 11Juan Palaez-Triano, 27, of Florida, N.Y., was charged with neglecting lamp maintenance, having factious plates, driving an unregistered vehicle, driving an uninsured vehicle, being an unlicensed driver, having an open container of alcohol in a vehicle and driving while intoxicated.

    Police said they received a 911 call reporting an erratic driver on Route 94, near the area of Mountain Creek South. The tipster told police the vehicle had gone through a red light and was all over the roadway. Patrols in the area were able to locate the vehicle and conducted a motor vehicle stop. Police said an investigation revealed Palaez-Triano was intoxicated.

    Palaez-Triano was released pending a Municipal Court date.
