Helen Julia Gregory

Helen Julia Gregory, June 19, 1948, to Jan. 10, 2015.

Helen sadly lost her 29-month battle with cancer. She will be remembered for smiling throughout and bravely never giving up hope. Helen is survived by her husband of 30 years, Louis Gregory of Vernon, N.J., her daughter, Beverly Reynal and husband. John, daughter. Anne Marie Schleiffer, both of Texas. and granddaughters Katherine and Caroline.

Helen was born in Englewood, N.J., and graduated from Bergenfield High School. While raising her children she resided in Ohio, Louisiana, and Texas before returning to New Jersey, where her youngest daughter graduated from Vernon High School. Helen enjoyed volunteering and working in several capacities throughout Vernon Township including the Board of Elections, the mayor’s office, beach monitor, and providing in-store food samples and demonstrations for R&H Marketing. Most recently, she loved serving children lunch in all of the various local school cafeterias. In her spare time, she most enjoyed her granddaughters and collecting precious things.

A celebration of Life service will be held on March 8, 2015 from 2-5 p.m. at St Francis De Sales Church, 614 Route 517, Vernon, NJ 07428.
