Sussex native completes basic training

    Air Force Reserve Airman 1st Class Brandon G. Ritter graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas.

    The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.

    Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.

    Ritter earned distinction as an honor graduate.

    He is the son of Joan and John Ritter of Sussex, N.J., and nephew of Larry Ritter of Peoria, Ariz.

    The airman graduated in 2009 from High Point Regional High School, Wantage, N.J., and he earned a bachelor's degree in 2013 from Marywood University, Scranton, Pa. =
