VERNON — Once again the Vernon Mountaineers brought home a series of medals from this year’s New Jersey Special Olympic Winter Games held Feb. 2, 3, and 4 held at Mountain Creek.
Competing in alpine skiing, this year’s members of the team were Shawn Barber of Highland Lakes, Johnathan Blakely of Sussex Borough, Lawrence Aaron Bono of Wantage, Kyle DeGroat of Stillwater, Kyle Dehn of Glenwood, Jeremy Dobies of Newton, Jolene Jalbert of Sussex Borough, Carol Spilotras of Barry Lakes, and Dakota Toomes of Highland Lakes.
This year’s sole cross-country skiing team member was Teresa Kelly of Franklin.
