Charles Arthur Kelly, Jr.

Charles Arthur Kelly, Jr., 75 years old, died after a long illness at his home on Monday, Feb. 2, 2015. Born to Charles A. and Monica Kelly in New York City, he lived in Wappingers Falls, N.Y., and then Guttenberg, N.J., for 5 years before moving to the Lake Wallkill section of Vernon Twp., N.J., in 1998.

Charles received his BS in Electrical Engineering from University of Detroit and then his MS in Electrical Engineering from Syracuse University and then worked as an electrical engineer for IBM in Poughkeepsie, N.Y., for 30 years before retiring in 1992. Charles enjoyed travelling, cruising, model railroading and tinkering with electronics.

Charles is the beloved husband for 52 years of Judith V. Kelly of Lake Wallkill, N.J. Devoted father of Kevin C. Kelly of Vernon Twp., N.J., Kathleen McKeever of Wallkill, N.Y., Monica Heavey of Poughkeepsie, N.Y., and Christine Miller of Seattle, Wash. Loving grandfather of Kerrin, Brian, Caeleigh, Bridget, Mairead, Shaun, Joe, Ada and Ella. Dear brother of Patricia Waelder of Syracuse, N.Y., Kathleen Kelly of Syracuse, N.Y., Mary-Barbara Fotusky of Toms River, N.J., and Maureen Flanigan of Salem, N.J. Cherished by many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive their friends at Ferguson Funeral Home, 27 Third Street, Sussex, N.J., on Friday, Feb. 6, 2015, from 4-8 p.m. Funeral from the funeral home on Saturday, Feb. 7, 2015 at 10 a.m. Funeral Mass at St. Monica’s RC Church, Sussex, N.J., at 11 a.m. Cremation will be private.
