Mamie Shauger

Mamie Shauger, age 86, passed away on Friday, Jan. 30 2015, at Newton Memorial Hospital. Born in Frankford to the late Isaiah and Frances Kent, Mamie had lived in Sussex County all of her life. She had been predeceased by her husband, Wesley, on Aug. 29, 2010; three brothers, Ike Kent, Russell Kent, and Harold Kent; three sisters, Louise Sanders, Christina Kimble, and Julia Guest. Mrs. Shauger is survived by her son, Daniel Shauger of Montague; her daughter, Donna Kraska of Montague; two brothers, Donald Kent and his wife, Barbara, of Wantage and Angus “Bubby” Kent of West Virginia; four sisters, Clara Lines of Largo, Fla., Elizabeth Wesley and her husband, Charles, of Vernon, Frances Trapani and her husband, Richard, of Middletown, N.Y.; and her beloved sister-in-law, Betty Kent of Wantage; four grandchildren, Dixie Smith and her husband, Donald, Nichole McMickle and her husband, Michael, of Sussex, Jay Decker and his wife, Lisa, of Dingmans Ferry, Pa., and Renea Morgan of Wantage; 13 great grandchildren; and one great great grandson.

Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 4, 2015, at the Pinkel Funeral Home, 31 Bank St. (Route 23), Sussex. Friends may pay their respects to the family on Wednesday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
