Prosecutors have charged two Wantage residents in connection with the Jan. 13 robbery of Lakeland Bank in Wantage.

Frank Aigotti, 33, and Jacinda Moore, 37, were arrested on Thursday and charged with robbery, conspiracy to commit robbery, theft and fraudalent credit card use.

Initial bail was set for Aigotti at $500,000 and Moore was held on $250,000 bail. Sussex County Municipal Court Judge Thomas Critchley upheld the bail at a hearing on Friday afternoon.

State police arrested the couple at their Wantage home.

The arrest followed a joint investigation by the state police, FBI and Sussex County Prosecutor's Office, according to Sussex County First Assistant Prosecutor Greg Mueller.

Mueller said the investigation involved the review of video surveillance, witness interviews and forensics.

Mueller declined to answer further questions about the case.

Lakeland Bank, on Route 23, was robbed at about 11:41 a.m. on Jan. 13 by a man whose face was covered with a blue hoodie.

Police released video surveillance of the man entering the bank and leaving.

A description of the robber stated he was black or hispanic. He did not brandish a weapon.

According to state police, the robber demanded money from a teller before fleeing on foot.

This was the second time in the last year that Lakeland Bank was robbed.
