Skylands Gallery & Studio will hold its opening show on Saturday, Feb. 7 from 6-10 p.m., for "Baby, It's Cold Outside."

Skylands Gallery artists, Phylis Barfoot, Carol Chave, Rima Hamade, Lisa Lopez, John Maione Jr., Janet O'Neil, June Ponte, Diane Suter and Bruce Young will be showing favorite works from their own creations, plus new pieces created specifically for "Baby It's Cold Outside" theme.

The gallery will have live music by Sussex County musician, Bob Connelly. In a tribute to the "Baby, It's Cold Outside" theme, Connelly will perform his renditions of tunes from Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and others from the Great American Songbook. You can listen to some of his music on his website, www.bobconnellyvocalist.com.

There also will be complimentary food and beverages for a truly enjoyable evening centered around locally created fine art.

The artists of the gallery also will honor long-time Sussex County resident Nick Vander Groef for one of his graphite drawings he completed as a youth back in Holland. The drawing was completed in his hometown of Dirksland before he and his family immigrated to the U.S. and settled in the NJ Skylands.

The exhibition will run until March 13.
