Kristiana Nunez, 20, of Pompton Lakes was charged with possession of marijuana after a traffic stop on Route 94.

Police said they stopped a black Nissan Versa speeding on County Highway 515. While speaking with the driver, police said they discovered a strong odor of marijuana from the inside the vehicle.

Police said, after investigation, Kristiana Nunez was allegedly found to be in possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana.

She was releasesd pending a Vernon Township court date.

Thomas M. Cairns, 31, of Highland Lakes was charged while intoxicated after police were dispatched to 2 Barry Drive North for a report of a motor vehicle accident.

Police said investigation found Cairns was intoxicated, which caused him to run off the roadway and strike a guardrail.
