Angry Erik Brewing anniversary event to celebrate one year

| 28 Jan 2015 | 12:18

Angry Erik Brewing is preparing for their one year anniversary on Feb. 15. In honor of this event they will be celebrating Thursday, Feb. 12 through Sunday, Feb. 15.

Beers on tap will include the 6 month aged Dubbel Blade, an 8 percent ABV Dubbel, and a special release for Friday the 13th, Freaky Freydis, a chocolate stout. Anticipate a smoother, richer version of the Dubbel Blade. Freaky Freydis is a special release for Valentine’s Day weekend for 2 reasons: one being that it is chocolate, and, two for Friday the 13th as Freydis, daughter of Erik the Red, was a particularly brutal Viking warrior.

Commemorative glasses will be available listing each of the 24 different beers they released in their first year. These glasses will be free, limit one per customer, with the purchase of a pint. As a special thank you to Growler Club Members, discounts will be doubled all weekend long.

An additional perk will be local live music — an Angry Erik first. Tom Carpenter starts off the music weekend on Friday from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. DJ Greene Goblin will be spinning reggae beats on Saturday 2 to 5 p.m., followed by acoustic duo, The Henry’s with Brian McLoughlin & Brian St. John on Sunday 2 to 5 p.m.

As they are anticipating a higher volume, free tickets are available at www.eventbrite.com/e/1st-anniversary-party-tickets-15252428424. Tickets are encouraged, but not required, to allow for a more comfortable, and not too overcrowded brewery experience.

Angry Erik Brewing is located at 10 Millpond Drive, Unit #8 in Lafayette. For more information call 862-432-9003 or visit angryerik.com.
