A celebration of the works of William Shakespeare with Shake It Up Shakespeare: Magic, Mystery and Mayhem will be held on Jan. 31 at 11 a.m. in the Little Theatre.

For grades 4 and up, take a journey through some of the bard’s greatest works and characters in this interactive performance, engaging young audiences and introducing a new way to look at Shakespeare. Audiences can marvel at the magic of "A Midsummer Night’s Dream," explore the mystery of the infamous "Macbeth," and experience the mayhem of "Romeo and Juliet." This show simplifies Shakespearean language in a way that all audiences can understand and exhibits exciting performance techniques in stage combat and classic slapstick comedy popular during Elizabethan times and still in practiced today.

Shake It Up tickets are $12.50 for adults and $10 for children under 12. The performance is in the Little Theater at 400 Jefferson Street in Hackettstown. Tickets may be purchased online at centenarystageco.org, at the CSC Box Office in The Lackland Center at 715 Grand Ave in Hackettstown, or by calling 908-979-0900.
