Winter festival planned in High Point Park

    The Friends of High Point State Park are sponsoring their annual Winter Festival, a celebration of snow and ice at High Point State Park, on Saturday, Jan. 31, from noon until 3 p.m. in the High Point State Park Interpretive Center.

    Activities will include bird feeder and winter themed crafts for children, storytime, sing-a-long, hot cocoa and cookies by the fire, guided hike, snowshoeing and ice fishing demonstrations (conditions permitting).

    Weather expert Nick Stefano will stop by for a winter weather talk.

    The event is free, but a suggested donation of $5 per family is appreciated.
