Francine Anne King, 62, passed away at her home with her loving children at her side on Friday, Dec. 26, 2014. She was born in Paterson on Feb. 17, 1952, to Louis and Anna (nee Elia) Avolio.

Francine received a master's degree in the Art of Teaching from Marygrove College in 2001, along with her daughter, Jennifer, and several good friends. She was a "professional volunteer" for all her children's activities and a staunch supporter and fundraiser for many childhood cancer charities. Francine loved her community and her country and served both well by giving her all to every child she encountered and helping those in need.

She was predeceased by her husband, James F. King in 2010.

She is survived by her loving children, Jennifer Hansen, James F. King Jr. and Janelle King all of Vernon, N.J., and her cherished grandchildren; Mary Catherine, Samuel, Anna, Isabella, James, and Paul Thomas and her mother Anna Avolio and her brother Louis Avolio of Little Falls, N.J.

Relatives and friends were received on Monday Dec. 29, at Holy Counselor Lutheran Church, 68 Sand Hill Rd., Sussex, N.J. The interment will follow at Glenwood Cemetery, Vernon.
