Zuckerman named insurance fund commissioner

VERNON — The Township Council appointed Business Administrator William Zuckerman to serve as insurance fund commissioner, beginning in January.

The statewide fund requires the apppointment of a commissioner and risk assessment consultant. Skylands Risk Management's Wayne F. Dietz has been appointed for 2015; his term also will begin in January.

While Vernon has participated in the past, the township decided to renew their participation Participation in the insurance fund is for three years and Vernon’s membership will be in effect until 2018.
