What is happening to our town?

I have read where Vernon is looking to create more recreational venues. I am not against recreation, but we are a small town and we are becoming a "Dorney Park." Now, an indoor water park is proposed. What is happening to our quaint, small country village?

I spent all my summers here as I grew up and am now a permanent resident — and slowly I see the bucolic town transforming. Instead of seeing flowing cornfields with sunflower patches, we will see another big building blocking the views of the hills and mountains. We will see more cars and have more pollution. Our fresh country air is disappearing. is this really want we want?

It is the quality of life that should determine what we do, not how many buildings we can put up.
