Ruth Bottom Seaman, 88, of Highland Lakes, N.J., died peacefully on Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2014, at Frederick Memorial Hospital in Frederick, Maryland. She was a summer and then full-time resident of Northern New Jersey since 1960. She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, John Edward Seaman in 2004.

She is survived by her daughters, Kai Seaman Simpson and husband Bruce of Frederick, Md., and Katherine Coffen and husband, Tom, of Phoenix, Ariz.; grandsons, Nicolas Couraud of San Francisco, Calif., and Blaise Simpson of Frederick, Md. She was the beloved matriarch of an extended family. “Great Aunt Ruth” will be sorely missed by her nieces, great nieces and great nephews, and great-great nephews. A large circle of friends will also miss Ruth for her energy, warmth, humor, strength, faith, and generosity.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 13, at Oak Ridge Presbyterian Church, 321 Oak Ridge Road, Oak Ridge, N.J. Family will be available at a memorial luncheon after the service in Fellowship Hall. A private inurnment will be held at a later date at Hanover Greens Cemetery, Wilkes Barre, Pa.
