    Robert P. Turse, Jr., age 55, passed away suddenly of on Monday, Dec. 1, 2014, at Bon Secours Community Hospital. Born in Franklin, Mr. Turse grew up in West Milford and Unionville, N.Y., and lived in Port Jervis, N.Y., until moving to Dingmans Ferry in 1999. He had been employed for 15 years by the New York State Road Department and had retired 20 years ago. He was a member of the Sons of the American Legion Post 139 in Milford, Pa., and he took great pride in selling the Red Poppies for the Legion. Mr. Turse was a collector of many different items and he enjoyed the various collections that he had accumulated. He was predeceased by his father, Robert P. Turse, Sr., his mother-in-law, Catherine Vandermark, and his great grandson, Shane. He is survived by his wife, Maude (Vandermark); his mother, Shirley Turse of Unionville, N.Y.; his two sons, Chris Padgett of Wantage, N.J., and Jamie Padgett of Port Jervis, N.Y.; his daughters, Pam Grau of Sandyston and Cindy Strunk of Unionville, N.Y.; three brothers, Keith Turse of Sparrowbush, N.Y., Paul Turse of Unionville, N.Y., and Raymond Turse of Middletown, N.Y.; his sister, Patricia Turse of Unionville, New York; 14 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 5, 2014, at the Pinkel Funeral Home, 31 Bank St. (Route 23), Sussex. Interment will follow at North Hardyston Cemetery.
