Tri-State Actors Theater has received a grant in the amount of $10,000, from The Horizon Foundation for New Jersey. The grant will fund the operations and programs of Tri-State’s 2014-15 theatre season.

"This grant from the Horizon Foundation for New Jersey will enable Tri-State to continue our production program including our 10th anniversary production of 'A Christmas Carol,' our spring production, and our acclaimed Intern Training Program and Children’s play," said Paul Meacham, Artistic Director. "Both our New Plays Reading Series and our theater classes will also benefit, as well as the everyday operation of our theatre company."

Tri-State Actors Theater is in its 27th season of professional Equity stage productions, including its 10th annual production of "A Christmas Carol" in special guest presentations from Dec. 17 to 28 at the prestigious Bickford Theater at the Morris Museum, Morristown. This fall Tri-State Actors Theater was one of 67 recipients from nine countries recognized with The 2014 International Centre for Women Playwrights 50/50 Applause Award. The Award recognizes theatres around the world that produced 50 percent or more women playwrights in their season of shows. Tri-State’s Intern Training Program and acting classes for children, teens and adults have enhanced the theatre experiences of hundreds of young people over the last 27 years.

"We are delighted to support Tri-State Actors Theater," said Jonathan R. Pearson, Executive Director of The Horizon Foundation for New Jersey. "The Horizon Foundation for New Jersey is dedicated to supporting charitable organizations making an impact in the lives of people across New Jersey."
