Walnut Ridge preschool program to be featured

VERNON — The Walnut Ridge Primary School preschool program will be featured during a segment on NJEA’s "Classroom Close-Up", NJ entitled, “Tools of the Mind at Walnut Ridge Primary School.”

The Walnut Ridge Primary School preschool teachers Gwen Bicskei, Dana Cook, :esley Falgiano, and Speech/Language Therapis Aimee Hamilton will be featured guiding students through activities of Tools of the Mind such as “the message of the day”, “play planning”, “dramatic play”, math collections”, “I have who has” and “buddy reading”, just to name a few.

Tools of the Mind is a New Jersey Department of Education endorsed preschool curriculum. This installment of "Classroom Close-Up" will air on Saturdays, March 14 and April 18, 2015, at 5:30 a.m. It also will air Sundays, March 8 and April 12, 2015, at 7:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. In addition to being featured on "Classroom Close-Up,", some of the other engaging activities the preschool students have experienced are apple picking at Pochuck Farm, pumpkin picking as well as a family holiday sing along in December.
