Joseph F. Seck

Joseph F. Seck, age 61, passed away on Thursday, Nov. 20, 2014, at Andover Subacute and Rehabilitation Center. Born in Orange to the late Joseph S. and Joan (Hayes) Seck, he had lived in Parsippany before moving to Sussex County. Joe had served in the United States Marine Corp during the Vietnam era and was a member of the American Legion Post 213 in Wantage as well as a member of the NRA. He had been a union operator for 10 years for the Operating Engineers Local 825 in Springfield until recently retiring. Joe was predeceased by his wife, Maureen in 2010. He is survived by his two sons, Joseph J. Seck of Stanhope and James Seck of Sussex; his daughter, Christina Fleisher of Texas; his brother, Timothy Seck of Parsippany; his sister, Joan Sweet of Rockaway; and his two grandchildren, Joseph T. Seck and Liam Fleisher. Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. on Monday, November 24, 2014 at the Pinkel Funeral Home, 31 Bank Street (Route 23), Sussex. Friends may pay their respects to the family on Monday prior to the funeral service from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Private cremation services will be held at the convenience of the family.
