Harvest House gives back

| 21 Nov 2014 | 03:03

The people that are served a hot lunch everyday at Harvest House Community Lunch Program (held in the First Baptist Church) held their third rummage sale. They came up with the idea of a "Garage Sale." The guests held their third "Garage Sale" on Nov. 8. There were many items donated for their cause and the sum of $576.25 was raised and given to Harvest House to help with the purchase of perishable food items. The first garage sale was held Nov. 20, 2010 and they raised $676 at that time. We are very grateful to all those in the community that have been constant supporters and all the daily volunteers that help make the lunches. We would like to express a sincere thank you to Richard Gunderson and Patty Decker who headed the project. They did an amazing job of organizing and setting up. It was truly a great way of their saying "thank you" to Harvest House for what is being done for them and the other guests.
