    Sara Rowland, 23, of Matarmoras, Pa., was sentenced to two years of probation on condition she pay $1,452 restitution to the victim, joint and with co-defendants.

    She pleaded guilty to three counts of third-degree shoplifting on June 16.

    In March, the defendant and two co-defendants went to Walmart in Hampton on two occasions, taking several large household items. When they returned to Walmart a third time they were caught while attempting to shoplift again.

    Matthew A. Delgado, 23, of Newton was sentenced to two years of probation and 90 days in the county jail.

    He pleaded guilty on July 29 to distribution of a controlled dangerous substance, a third-degree crime.

    Armando Salamanca, 26, was sentenced to 3 years of probation and time served.

    He pleaded gduilty on Sept. 29, to possession of a controlled dangerous substance, a third-degree crime.

    Nov. 17
    Tymon Hoppe, 28, of Hampton pleaded guilty to criminal trespass, a fourth-degree crime.

    Sentencing is scheduled for Jan. 16, 2015.

    Kimberly Moumblow, 47, of Highland Lakes, pleaded guilty to cruel and neglect of a child, a crime of the fourth degree.

    Moumblow, as a school bus driver and having custody of DL (DOB 2/13/05) and CW (DOB 2/20/07), failed to deliver them safely to their homes. Moumblow skipped their stops, failed to inspect the school bus and left the two children on the bus unattended on a hot July day.

    This matter was investigated by the Vernon Township Police Dept. and the Sussex County Prosecutor’s Office.

    Sentencing is scheduled for Jan. 16, 2015.

    Hector Mercado, 40, of Newton pleaded guilty to the third-degree crime of distrubtion of a controlled dangerous substance.

    Sentencing is scheduled for Jan. 23, 2015.

    He admitted to distributing heroin in Newton on Sept. 10, 2013, to an individual cooperating with the Sussex County Gangs, Guns and Narcotics Task Force.

    Ruslan Jouravlev, 48, of Sparta pleaded guilty to fourth-degree driving with a suspended license for a previous driving while intoxicated conviction. This was his second offense.

    He was sentenced to 180 days in the Keogh-Dwyer Correctional Facility, two years probation and a two-year loss of his driver's license in accordance with his plea agreement. He also must complete alcohol treatment program, attend AA/NA and pay $500 in fines. This sentence includes a termination of defendant’s PTI on a charge of fourth-degree possession of a weapon for unlawful purpose.

    In August, the defendant was pulled over in Sparta for driving erratically. During the motor vehicle stop Jouravlev was found to be intoxicated and that his license was currently suspended for DWI.
