    Amanda Palmer, 32, of Dover, was sentenced to 3 and a half years of probation on condition that she pay $5670 0 in restitution to the victim.

    She must also undergo a TASC evaluation and follow all recommendations, random urine monitoring and pay $155 in fines and fees.

    In March of 2014 she took several items of jewelry from the owner of the Hampton home where she rented a room and then pawned the jewelry for cash. She pleaded guilty on Sept. 8, to third-degree Theft.

    Nov. 10,
    Renea DiBenedetto, 37, of pleaded guilty to the third degree crime of possession of a controlled dangerous substance.

    Sentencing is presently anticipated for Dec. 19.

    DiBenedetto admitted to possessing heroin in the Township of Hardyston.

    Joshua D. Wharton, 28, of Milford, Pennsylvania, pleaded guilty to the third degree crime of burglary.

    Sentencing is presently anticipated for Dec. 12.

    He admitted to burglarizing a structure on New Mashipacong Road in Montague, New Jersey belonging to Joseph Zitone.

    The matter was investigated by the New Jersey State Police.

    Matthew Giresi, 23, of Andover, pleaded guilty to third degree possession of a controlled dangerous substance.

    Sentencing is scheduled for Jan. 9, 2015.

    During an investigation of a motor vehicle stop Byram police found the defendant to be in possession of heroin, which he had hidden on his person.

    Jason Slater, 30, of Newton, pleaded guilty to third degree possession of heroin, a controlled dangerous substance.

    Sentencing is presently anticipated for Jan. 9, 2015.

    In September, Slater had an active warrant out for his arrest. During the arrest he admitted to having heroin on his person to Newton police.

    The defendant was found to be in possession of two wax folds.

    Charles Conklin, 38, of Long Valley, pleaded guilty to fourth degree theft.

    Sentencing is presently anticipated for January, 2015.

    In May, Conklin was paid $1,150 by the Sparta victim to do landscaping, but he ever returned to start any of the work and did not return any of the money to the victim.
