Helen Q. Treloar, age 92, passed away on Sunday, Oct. 26, 2014, at Hackettstown Regional Medical Center. Born in Washington Township to the late John and Pauline (DeReamer) Queery, she had lived in Warren and Morris counties before moving to Sussex County in 1963. Helen values service and education and was proud of her son that served 15 years in the USAF, which included the Vietnam Period and was proud of another son that obtained his para-legal certification. She was a dedicated reader, having read hundreds of books. From 1941 to 1945, Helen worked hard at a "Victory Garden," canning, making soap, and otherwise supporting the Victory effort. Helen was a dedicated, hard-working homemaker, mother, and farmer’s wife. She was predeceased by her husband, Ernest, in 1977 and her daughter, Elsie, in 2005. Helen is survived by her three sons, John of Houston, Texas, and Kenneth and Jere both of Wantage; her daughter, Janet of Wantage; and her sister, Stella Gorge of Tinton Falls. Private cremation services and a private interment at The United Methodist Church Cemetery in Succasunna were held at the convenience of the family.
