    Raymond Ammacher, 34, of Franklin was sentenced to 3 years of probation on condition he undergo a TASC evaluation and follow all recommendations, illegal substances and no alcohol, have no contact with the victim and pay restitution to the victim. The Court sentenced defendant to time served with a credit of 90 days.

    He pleaded guilty on Sept. 8 to third-degree Burglary.

    In July, the defendant broke into his neighbor’s Franklin home and took prescription medication from the home.

    Oct. 27
    Mark Huber, 41, of Sussex Borough, pleaded guilty to fourth-degree criminal sexual contact.

    Sentencing is scheduled for Dec. 5, 2014.

    The defendant admitted to committing multiple acts of sexual contact with the victim when the victim was at least 13 years old but less than 16 years old.

    Christopher Vargas, 27, of Port Jervis, N.Y., pleaded guilty to third-degree burglary.

    Sentencing is scheduled for Dec. 19.

    In April, the defendant broke into a Montague home while the victims were on vacation. He took various items from the home including electronics and jewelry.

    Edwin Garcia-Mahlon, 29, of Newton pleaded guilty to making terroristic threats, a third-degree crime, possession of a weapon, a third-degree crime, and contempt, a disorderly persons offense.

    Sentencing is scheduled for Jan. 9, 2015.

    Oct. 31
    Kevin Stangle, 28, of Hardyston was sentenced to 12 months probation, 120 days in-home detention and two days credit for time served in jail and forfeiture of weapons and $230 in court fines.

    He pleaded guilty on Aug. 11 to the second-degree crime of unlawful possession of a handgun.

    He admitted to discharging his gun while at a party and accidently shooting the victime in the shoulder in Hardyston on June 1.

    The matter was investigated by Hardyston police.

    Nov. 3
    Robert S. Butler, 56, of Hamburg pleaded guilty to theft, a third-degree crime.

    Sentencing is scheduled for Dec. 19.

    He admitted to stealing personal property belonging to a homeowner in Hardyston and the value exceeded $500.

    Nov. 7
    Christopher Bootsma, 48, of Dover, was sentenced to 17 years in state prison, subject to NERA on both counts, which means he must serve 85 percent of that sentence before being eligible for parole.

    Bootsma pleaded guilty on June 12 to Count Four and Count Six of an indictment. At that time, Bootsma admitted to committing an act of sexual penetration against a 10-year-old victim in 2005. He further admitted to video recording of the act.

    The matter was investigated by the Andover Township Police Department and the Sussex County Prosecutor's Office with assistance from the Sussex County Sherriff's

    Dept. and New Jersey State Police canine units.

    Alton Griffin, 52, of Franklin was sentenced to six years in state prison with a 40-month period of parole ineligibility, four days credit to time served in jail, a six-month loss of driver's license and $1205 in court fines.

    He pleaded guilty on Sept. 15, to the third-degree crime of distribution of a controlled dangerous substance.

    He admitted to distributing heroin to an individual cooperating with the Franklin Police Department.
