Friends of Library plan Indian heritage program

VERNON — The Friends of the Library, Dorothy E. Henry Branch, will present "The Lenape-Delaware Indian Heritage" on Sunday, Nov. 16, in the library's community room in Vernon at 3 p.m.
This is a program covering the region’s 12,000 years of Native American history. John Kraft, archaeologist and authority on the region, will be the speaker. He represents Lenape Lifeways Inc., a non-profit outreach organization.
Kraft’s program will include a slide presentation and stories. There also will be be a display of many touchable objects and artifacts including clothing, tools, artwork, masks, and games.
