Resident feels harassed by neighbor

Hello, my name is Rita I Hunken. I have lived here and paid taxes and Highland Lakes Club Dues for 40 years. My friend brought me a chicken dinner in Highland Lakes and visited for about 20 minutes Monday evening, Oct. 27, around 7 p.m. and parked on my side of the property.

As soon as she left the police knocked on my door whom my neighbor had called and said there is a New Jersey law that no one can park a car in the road and not even a tire can be in the road.

This is the third time this neighbor called the police when there was a car parked in front of my house.=

I am a senior citizen — 77 years old — I have no car and do not drive and so depend on friends to help me get around. I feel harassed and threatened.

This started last Christmas when my friend also visited me and the same neighbor pounded on my door and shouted at my friend to move her car.

This neighbor also called the senior bus and demanded that they not blow the horn at 9 a.m. in the morning. I am hearing impaired.
