In support of Scott Garrett

I am writing to you today to ask that all of your readers support Scott Garrett for the 5th congressional district. Scott knows his constituents; he is from our area and has represented our interests fairly as our U.S. congressman. When considering your vote, remember that Scott has been a lifelong resident of Sussex County and was a longtime 24th District Assemblyman.

His opponent cannot say anything like this. Roy Cho probably doesn't even know where Sussex or Warren counties even are, much less care about the voters here. If he can't care enough to vote consistently or set roots down in one area long enough to establish himself, how can he fairly represent our views in Congress?

The answer is he can't and he won't. So he leads the way in smearing and twisting in ways that are quite astonishing. From flat out lies on TV ads, Letters to Editors, smear tactics online (going so far as to smear Wikipedia) , trolling online forums to newspaper articles, his campaign has set new lows in our area.

You have to ask yourself why? It's simple; he has no record to speak about and no platform to campaign on. Am I to expect that a man who just moved into a gerrymandered district in time to run for Congress is really going to go to DC with my concerns at the front of his list of to dos?.

    Absolutely
He will just fall in line with the Pelosi Democrat's, blindly following the Obamabots in destroying our way of life. It's a game of numbers, they want to flip our district and silence our voices so that we in Sussex and Warren don't matter anymore. Scott Garrett is a fiscal conservative, supports smaller responsible government, reduced spending and will not support amnesty or other anti-American ideals so prevalent in DC today.

This is a pivotal election for our area; a vote for Cho is a vote against our counties and our voices in Sussex and Warren counties. Worse, not voting is an affirmation of the Democratic machine and also a vote against our counties.

In summary, I ask that we turn out on Tuesday, Nov. 4, not just to support our Congressman Scott Garrett and the Republican teams in your area, but to make a resounding statement that carpetbaggers are NOT welcome in our districts. We will not be silenced and we will not forget.
