Glen Meadow Middle School’s Team Adventure program brought the school’s seventh- and eighthgraders into exercises designed to teach teamwork, cooperation and trust pm Tuesday, Oct. 22.

The students shared the school-wide initiative aimed to promote an exciting, positive, and supportive school climate. With students of both grades paired together in teams, teamwork and inclusiveness were the desired end result of the program.

Behind the school on the Ropes Course, seventh-graders were high above the ground as they learned to trust in each other and the systems of ropes and pulleys that kept them from falling to the earth far below.

Eighth-grade students are given a leadership role in which they had to guide and encourage the seventh-graders through activities and obstacles. Students were given the opportunity to openly discuss their ideas, find solutions to problems and the issues they are facing, and were encouraged to incorporate their teamwork skills into their everyday lives.
