Richard E. Bourgoin

Richard E. Bourgoin, 63 years old, died after a short illness at home on Tuesday, Oct. 21, 2014. Richard was born to Louis and Irene Bourgoin in Jersey City, N.J., where he was raised. He lived in Arizona for 40 years before moving to live with his sister in the Highland Lakes section of Vernon Twp., N.J., in 2011.

Richard worked as a self employed electrical repairman for many years. He had a passion for jazz music and enjoyed restoring Hammond B3 Organs and building Leslie speakers for rock bands.

Richard is the beloved brother of Doreen Szymczak and her husband, Chris, of Highland Lakes, N.J., and David Bourgoin of Hawaii. Dear uncle of Nicholas and Michael, stepfather of Eva Jones and her, husband, Josh and grandfather of Sage of Mesa., Ariz.

Funeral Mass under the direction of Ferguson-Vernon Funeral Home, 241 Route 94, Vernon, NJ will be Saturday, Oct. 25, 2014, at Our Lady of Fatima RC Church, Highland Lakes, N.J., at 11 a.m. Cremation will be private.
