Jannett Eleanor Carey

Janett “Aunt Janett” Eleanor Carey, 98 years old, died peacefully at home on Sunday, Oct. 12, 2014. Born to Michael and Maud Carey in Boonton Twp., N.J., she lived in Lincoln Park, N.J., Palm Harbor, Fla., and for since 1998 in Vernon Twp., N.J.

Janett worked for Van Rault in Boonton Twp., N.J., for many years retiring in 1980. She trained to be a pilot, adored embroidery and enjoyed feeding and watching wildlife.

Jeanett is predeceased by 2 sisters, Helen Babbitt and Florence Van Houten, 2 brothers, James and Walter Carey and a niece, Jane Beebe and is the dear sister of Duane Carey of Littleton, N.C., and the loving aunt of Barbara Menzel of Vernon Twp., N.J., and Diane Bellicourt of Seminole, Fla.
